Fragrant honeysuckle is a shrub that can appear to glow with very fragrant pink and white blossoms in spring. The fruit matures as red berries in early summer. An excellent shrub for wildlife and as an ornamental plant.  Used mostly for screens or hedges, but also makes a fine specimen shrub. This shrub is self supporting and is not a vine.

Also known as winter honeysuckle.

Flowers very early!  Extraordinarily fragrant and attractive at a time when little is in flower.

In all but the deep south, L. fragrantissima is deciduous, and the flowers occur on bare branches. It is unusually well-adapted, and can be found in far North as well as South Texas. Any good garden soil is sufficient, with quality specimens being found in either moderately alkaline or acid soils.

Grows 6 to 10′ high and wide without pruning

 Plant 4′ apart for hedge or screen..

Container grown in gallon pots.  Shipped bare to semi-bare root depending on the season. 12-36″ tall.
