Heriaria glabra ‘Green Carpet’
Look at photos carefully so not to confuse this with Herniaria Incana, which is a completely different variety! Incana is a gray-green color. This is bright green.
A very tough perennial ground cover, this is an excellent choice for growing between flagstones, pavers, or growing as a lawn substitute. The tiny leaves create a dense evergreen carpet, becoming bronze-to-gold in winter. Very tiny green flowers. May need some periodic watering during periods of extreme drought. Often used as base fillers in beds and also used in formal carpet bedding schemes. Growth rate is moderate and is not invasive. Also known as Rupturewort.
